Description

Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring order and safety when the class transitions to different areas or activities.

They help manage student behavior, maintain quiet and organized lines, and ensure everyone follows school and classroom expectations during transitions.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise Line Behavior: Ensure students remain quiet and orderly while lining up and transitioning.
  2. Ensure Proper Spacing: Monitor and adjust spacing between students to promote safety and organization.
  3. Assist with Timing: Help the teacher ensure the class is on time for transitions or events (e.g., lunch, recess, assemblies).
  4. Report Concerns: Alert the teacher to any disruptions, conflicts, or safety concerns during transitions by marking the behavior tracker.
  5. Promote Positive Behavior: Model appropriate line behavior while monitoring and when not.
Qualifications
  1. Dependability: Must consistently show up on time and be prepared to fulfill duties.
  2. Leadership Skills: Able to set a positive example for classmates.
  3. Attention to Detail: Notices small issues, such as spacing or disruptions, and addresses them.
  4. Respectfulness: Treats peers with kindness and fairness while enforcing rules.
  5. Communication Skills: Clearly relays concerns or feedback to the teacher.
  6. Calm Under Pressure: Stays composed when handling conflicts or challenges.
